What it is

The non-surgical track for sustainable weight loss

Most weight-loss programs treat the food. Método 4 PRO treats the whole picture. We integrate four medical disciplines that operate as one coordinated case file — your endocrinologist, your nutritionist, your psychologist, and your physical therapist all see your file and work from the same plan.

The program is built for sustainability, not for the first 30 days. 98% of our patients reach their weight goal during the 12-month program. The reason is the structure: monthly visits, scheduled labs, real behavior change worked in from day one.

The 4 pillars

What "multidisciplinary" actually means at GOG

Not four separate appointments at four separate offices — one program with four coordinated medical disciplines.

1

Functional Medicine

Hormonal and metabolic evaluation. Insulin resistance, thyroid function, PCOS, cortisol — the underlying biology of why your weight is where it is.

2

Nutrition

More than a diet — a sustainable way of eating built around your real life, not around restriction.

3

Psychology

Habit change and your relationship with food. Motivation maintenance through the months when nothing seems to move.

4

Physical Activity

Routines you can actually implement. Not a fitness regimen designed for someone else's body.

Who it is for

Three patient profiles

Método 4 PRO is designed for three groups of patients.

Overweight + Class I obesity

BMI 27–34. Patients who do not yet qualify for surgery or who want to try a medical program first.

Post-bariatric follow-up

Patients in months 1–12 after sleeve, bypass, or balloon. Structured maintenance of the loss.

Post-liposuction maintenance

Body contouring patients who want to maintain and improve their post-surgical results.

Lead Doctor

Designed and led by Dra. Paola Sánchez

Dra. Paola Sánchez

Obesity Medicine Director · Método 4 PRO Architect

Dra. Paola Sánchez is the Obesity Medicine Director at Global Obesity Group and the architect of Método 4 PRO. Her approach is informed by her own weight-loss journey — she lost weight, kept it off, and learned firsthand that medical knowledge alone does not make change happen. The program does.

She leads the medical track for non-surgical patients, designs the program structure, and runs the 12-month post-bariatric follow-up for surgical patients.

How it works

From your first call to month 12

The non-surgical Método 4 PRO program runs as a 12-month structured course. The first consultation maps the plan. From there, monthly video visits with the medical team, scheduled labs at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months, nutritional plans that adjust as you go, behavior-change sessions with psychology, and an exercise plan you can actually do. GLP-1 medications are part of the toolkit when clinically appropriate, not the default.

International patients run the entire program remotely. In-person Bogotá visits are optional, not required.

FAQ

Common questions about Método 4 PRO

What is Método 4 PRO?
A 12-month structured non-surgical weight-loss program built on four pillars: functional medicine, nutrition, psychology, and physical activity. It is the medical track at GOG for patients who do not need surgery, and the follow-up track for patients who do.
Will I need to travel to Bogotá?
For a non-surgical Método 4 PRO patient: no, the program runs fully by video. Monthly check-ins with the team, lab reviews via email, prescription adjustments remotely. In-person visits in Bogotá are optional.
How much weight will I lose?
98% of our patients reach their stated weight goal. The amount depends on starting weight and metabolic baseline — typically 10–25% of body weight over the 12-month program.
Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide)?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. GLP-1 agonists are part of the medical toolkit but not the first line for everyone. They are most useful in patients with insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, or significant metabolic dysfunction.
How much does the program cost?
Pricing depends on duration, whether medications are included, and whether you are local or international. The first consultation establishes scope. We do not publish a single fee because each plan is personalized.
How is this different from a regular nutritionist?
A regular nutritionist treats the food. Método 4 PRO treats the whole metabolic picture — hormones, eating behavior, movement, and food together. We use medication when needed. We coordinate across four specialists, not one.
Will I keep the weight off?
98% of program completers maintain their loss at the 12-month mark. The reason is the structure: monthly visits, scheduled labs, behavior change worked into the program from day one.
